4 contemporary bathrooms for a new contemporary build
Designer's Comment
For this customer we were asked to create 4 new bathrooms for their brand new modern build: a downstairs guest bathroom, two en-suites and a family/main bathroom. Though each bathroom has it’s own style and personality, each bathroom is in-tune with the modern design of the new build.
Space is maximised in all 4 bathrooms using particular products or design. For example, the master bedroom en-suite has a large walk in shower, instead of a shower enclosure, with two openings simply created with a dividing wall. Bath/shower units ultimately take up more space in smaller bathrooms where as walk-in showers offer fluidity of movement and more space, plus they require less cleaning and money spent on them. They also offer the wow factor in any bathroom. The main bathroom offers both a walk-in shower and bath, plus a vanity unit and WC. The room isn’t massive but with the right design there’s space for a walk-in shower as well as a bath. As you walk into the bathroom you’re not confronted with units and enclosures that stick out; the vanity unit is slightly curved to offer more space and doesn’t come with any sharp corners, the shower screen offers a divide but it doesn’t break the room up completely, and the bath is set to the back of the room and out of the way until it’s needed.
