Who we are
At Island Bathrooms, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our website www.islandbathrooms.co.uk. In particular, we want you to know that Island Bathrooms does not sell, rent or trade email marketing lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. In this privacy policy we’ve provided detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure. Since we no longer sell products on our website (since 27th October 2016), we will not require and will never ask you to provide your bank details on our website, all purchases are now made in-store at our three showrooms in Bournemouth and Salisbury.

Cookies
There are many types of cookies, edible and non-edible. The types of cookies we use on our site are non-edible performance cookies; a small bit of information stored in your browser directory, implemented by optimisation and performance tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar and Padiact to collect standard log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. Cookies allow us, and the tools which monitor our website, to understand if you’ve visited our site before, as well as which sections of our website you find most interesting and useful. This allows us learn more about our website and how it’s being used in-order to provide you, and future users, with the best user experience possible. We do not use cookies for any other reason.
Google Analytics uses cookies to find out things such as: where you’ve visited us from, the number and time of your previous visits, whether you are a new or returning visitor, how long you’ve been on the website for, what pages you have clicked on, how long you have been on a certain page, and what device you are visiting us on. You can also, at any time, prevent the setting of cookies on our website by changing the settings in your internet browser. Google analytics
We use Google Analytics to monitor our website’s traffic and performance. When you visit www.islandbathrooms.co.uk we use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of our website and where visitors may have come from, for example if you’ve clicked on a link to our website via our Facebook page, our Instagram account, or one of our Google Ads. This data allows us to see how well our website is performing and which sources our website visitors are more likely to visit us from.
This information collected is only processed in a way which does NOT identify anyone. We can’t make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Mailing lists
We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform to deliver our email marketing campaigns. As part of the registration process for our marketing email campaigns we collect personal information, such as your name email address, via our email marketing sign-up forms. We use that information to send you marketing emails which contain: inspirational content and information about our sales and offers; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right, and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied with the marketing emails we send you.We also gather statistics around email opening and clicks, using industry standard technologies, to help us monitor and improve our email marketing campaigns.
In order for you to be sent our email marketing campaigns you have to opt-in in order to receive them. By clicking the subscribe to list button, at the bottom of our email marketing sign-up forms, visitors acknowledge that the information they provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in the accordance with their privacy policy & terms. You’ll be sent a confirmation email after clicking the subscribe to list button to double check you have not subscribed to our marketing emails by mistake, and to stop anyone else from signing you up without your permission. Subscribers have the right to unsubscribe at any time. The option to unsubscribe is always present in any marketing email we send. To unsubscribe, click the unsubscribe link in the footer of any marketing email you receive from us, or contact hello@islandbathrooms.co.uk. You can also reply directly to any of our marketing emails; because if we’re emailing you, you should have the right to email us.
We don’t rent or trade email lists with other companies and businesses. Emails given to our sales or administration team in-store, to be used for contact purposes regarding sales and orders, will NOT be added to our email marketing list.
Contact & enquiry forms
We use FormCraft to send and collect visitor enquiries and comments, which sometime requires the visitor to enter their name, email and other identifiable data, which is then sent to our administration team, sales team or marketing manager’s inbox. We do this to arrange design consultations between the visitor and our sales teams and reply to visitors regarding their enquiries made on our website.
Each form on our website presents a tailored agreement to inform the visitor about how the information, entered by the visitor, will be processed within our team. The visitor is required to read the agreement and acknowledge they’ve read the agreement to give permission for the form to be submitted to our administration team, sales team or marketing manager’s inbox. Regarding the Testimonial form, any information entered by the visitor may be published to our website. The visitor is required to read the agreement and acknowledge they’ve read the agreement to give us permission to upload and publish the information to our website. The information entered by the visitor in the testimonial form is anonymous and does not require the user to enter their full name or anything which may identify them.
Names, emails, comments, and other personally identifiable data, entered on any of our website forms, are NOT stored on our website, used for marketing purposes, or shared with a third party. If the agreement states that the form will be sent to our marketing manager, the contact details will only be used to verify or contact the visitor regarding their enquiry and will not be used for any other marketing purposes.
Embedded content
Articles on this site, specifically on our blog or on our brand pages, may include embedded content from other websites (e.g. YouTube videos, images linked to brand websites, links to articles from other blogs, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Your rights
You are entitled to have access to any personal information we hold about you; to view, amend, or request that we delete any personal information we hold about you. If you have given your personal information in-store, regarding an order or purchase you’ve made, and would like to view, amend, or make a request regarding your personal information, please contact our administration team at admin@islandbathrooms.co.uk.

This privacy policy will be reviewed as and when a change is made to how we process or require access to personal information and data on our website. If there are no changes to the way we process or require access to personal information and data, then this privacy policy will be reviewed yearly.
